10th - 12th June, 2005
Srní, Czech Republic

Wakely, Case 3

Clinical history :
A 52-year-old woman presented with recurrent episodes of abdominal pain. An ERCP found dilatation of the main pancreatic duct and narrowing in the mid-portion of the pancreas. A CT scan showed that the pancreatic duct within the tail was irregularly cystic and had a "beaded" appearance. Dilatation of the pancreatic duct occurred proximal to the body of the pancreas. A distal pancreatectomy was performed.
